Daniel S.Fits great on my car and holds bike very securely...I just got to find the time to fully use the rack and my bike when i find some time off....I personally think the SKS Lock System should be a standard item in the package not optional as this secures the bike and the rack from getting tampered with or even stolen..
Ugly but better than Thule
Rob B.Replaced my Thule 591 with a yakima because the Thule doesn't fit my new car. Although the Yakima is nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as the Thule it is a much better rack. Bikes are easier to load and do not move or wobble anywhere near as much as the old rack. I believe there is less wind whistle when empty as well. Will buy another one soon.
solid, easy to use rack. Not suitable to hold rear
AndyInitially bought this roof rack to provide a solution to transporting my race bike when the disc wheel is on. All other options require a strap to pass through the spokes to clamp the wheel down. Figured the clamping around the wheel would solve this but, the geometry of the bike (the rear triangle) means this doesn't work. Barring that, the rack was easy and tool free to fit to the car and, with a little practice, easy enough to mount the bike onto. Mine runs down the centre of the roof so needs so muscle and balance to get the bike up there but, once in place it's rock solid Add the extra barrel locks for added security for a small price
