Good value for money
By: dennisI have bought these pedals awhile back and been using them on my single speed road bike. i find them very good and reliable to ride on, only problem with them is trying to clip out it is abit hard at times, maybe i just need to adjust the tension of the pedals. but overall it does a very good job as i ride 25-30 km with these. also good value for money too..
Confidence building!!
Upgraded from a set of PFD pedals and cleats. WHY? I had absolutely no confidence in being able to speedily and easily extract my feet from the PFD pedals to avoid falling over still clipped in. Adding to that lack of confidence was the fact that I couldn't locate a supplier of cleats for the PFD pedals in Australia. SO, let's try the WELLGO jobbies. Read the instructions noting that they are shipped with the tension screw at its lowest setting. Fitted the pedals, hopped on the bike, tried the pedals and cleats, and promptly wound up the tension screw a couple of notches. Tried clipping in and out a dozen times. Success, tension screw set just right. WORKED FLAWLESSLY EVERY TIME. Now have no fear of falling over still clipped in. 6deg Float in cleats is not restictive and feels nice. I don't imagine they're competition standard, but for Saturday / Sunday morning capucino cruises, FANTASTIC!!!
Not Cheap and Nasty
By: Levi DI have purchased a number of these pedal sets over the last year and have experienced no major problems. They may not be Shimano, Look or Keo branded pedals but they are every bit as comparable with those brands. They are light weight and free running pedals at a fraction of the cost. If your like me on a pension or on a tight budget then these are an ideal investment. Get your cleats right and the centre of the ball of your foot over the centre of the pedal spindle then you cannot go wrong. One suggestion I would make is that if you have purchased these pedals is that when you have your tension right on the clip in is that you put a dab of nail polish or something similar on the thread of the tension adjustment screw to prevent it gradually working loose after numerous rides and vibration from various road surfaces and finding you can no longer clip your foot in especially in the middle of a ride and you don't have suitable tools to fix the problem on the road.
