You can adjust the arms in different ways to hold the seat post like normal or with my carbon frame I use the stand like a helper to clamp my seat while the bike sits on the ground. Head is plastic but very sturdy and fine for the home workshop.

Genuinely Great, Budget Work Stand
Mike BI have been using this Work Stand many times per week, for the past 10+ years! It does everything I need a Work Stand to do, and still works perfectly after all these years. I often get tempted to buy a new stand from Park or Feedback, but cannot justify it as this stand keeps on doing it's job perfectly. Outstanding for the money, Just buy one.
