Herbert S.I've had a few chain tools and this one seems like it will last the longest since the movable parts are eccentric and will not wear forgive play and have to be tightened it have numbers so you can see the decline of your chain and when to change it it is easy to use and feels like a real tool not a cheap flimsy toy. Although I do not work on bikes for a living I do have for bicycles and check the chains on them regularly I use the same tool about 5 times a week
